Every digital act has an energy cost: data centres are among the planet's biggest CO₂ emitters, and they power everything we do online — browsing, sending emails, posting on social media, watching videos. A few average figures calculated on an annual basis (source: Gartner) give a sense of the scale:

But is it possible to build a zero-emission data centre? Yes: we have done it. The creation of our Green Data Center was founded on respect for the environment without sacrificing power, flexibility or security — at the cost of a substantial financial effort and a thorough rethink of the way we work, centred on:
Timber structure
To keep thermal transmittance as low as possible.
Low infrastructure density
Only 50% of rack space in use, allowing natural heat dissipation.
Free cooling
Convective airflow alone in winter, with no chiller units at all; operating temperature of ~28 °C instead of the traditional 18–20 °C.
100% renewable energy
Solar and wind power: no energy derived from combustion.
This experience has also become a service: we design Zero Emission Data Centers for our clients — zero-emission data centres powered by renewables, with an optimised PUE and DCIM monitoring of consumption and efficiency.
Not just the environment: an ESG commitment, measured
Sustainability is not just about emissions: it is measured across three dimensions — Environmental, Social and Governance. For us it means the green data centre and renewable energy, but also the health and safety of the people who work here, continuous skills training, the rules of conduct in our Code of ethics, certified quality and transparency towards clients, suppliers and institutions.
And because a commitment counts for more when someone else assesses it, we chose to undergo an independent ESG rating: in June 2026 Ecomate — The Open-ESG Rating Agency — awarded Lympha Technologies the grade 'BBB' (ESG SME Rating), with an overall score of 51/100. The assessment starts from company records and the financial statements filed with the Italian Business Register (rating status: verified, updated every six months) and benchmarks the company against the main European and international frameworks: ESRS/EFRAG, the EU Taxonomy, GRI, SDGs.
